Why has it been so laggy and crashy recently? It's always been a bit laggy and unstable but the past few days has been much much worse than normal.

I noticed this yesterday as well, Adv said he looked into it.

Box overload I'm guessing. But hey, what do I know.

They were working on the script and SQL today and transferring files to the server.
(Which will all break in 2 months, enjoy Minecraft and CSS for that week.)

It wasn't just today its been the past few days.

It was worse today for that reason, I don't know anything above the other shit

You've angered the TRP gods with my P ban and now you must face their wrath.

It's crashed like 5 times the past hour.
Can one of the Developers please look into this?

I think that the box is getting overloaded, Maybe the developers should get rid of anything not used or basically useless that's taking up space?

Switch box temporarily to S4's or something? It sounds reasonable to me.

all the servers are hosted off the same box, each 'server' has a certain amount of resources allocated to it

E.G. we're using the same box since always, so it's hardware would be pretty.. worn-out due to heavy use etc- And rather overpriced too, damn, I think Dave'd save a lot by finding a new hosting provider too <.<

I was talking to the hosts last night. So im working out a compromise. At this stage Id really rather not swap boxes and have to go through the long process of setting up the servers and everything associated again.

The box is running the same amount of processes as it has for the last 2 years......1-4 HL2RP servers, TRP server, Test server, FTP access for developers, and thats about it. Unless Advantages statement is correct, in which he told me updates to the source engine have made it more taxing (im not sure if I believe that or not), any box related shortages should not be due to its actual specs.

Bear in mind that all weekend developers have been connected to it, changing the TRP script, and working on the test server on HL2RP TS2.

It was fine for a few days now its really unstable again crashing all the time.
Something needs to be done honestly, there wasn't even many props or entities yet we've just now crashed twice in a half hour period (plus the sporadic lag/timeouts which occur all the time).

The problem is the box has been in use for ages and let's be honest, TnB doesn't have anyone actually capable of maintaining it to a healthy degree, the hardware is old, very old. I'm honestly not sure why you are so comfortable with continuing with such bad service for such an over priced peice of crap simply because you don't want to have to wait the maybe 1-3 days it'd take to get everything sorted. Everyone is suffering long term because of it, I think the majority of people would rather sit out the very short amount of time it would take to get everything sorted than to keep going on like this, sometimes the servers are actually unplayable.
