Serious [PITCH] Into the Night

"..NYPD officials have confirmed in a press release that officers successfully conducted an operation to close down a clandestine sex trafficking ring in the Brooklyn area on Wednesday. Officers discovered fifteen woman of Vietnamese nationality in varying states of distress on the premises, with conditions that indicated they were being held unlawfully. Seven males aged 21 - 46 have been arrested while a woman, 54 was detained but later released without charge.."

" ..questioned, officials refused to comment on the current state of the alleged victims, emphasising a need to respect their privacy and allow the authorities to complete their investigation.."

I could go for something supernatural. But I worry people will get upset if the mystery isn't the one they were waiting for.

As long as you've got a comprehensive story that could work out in the background and not get spoiled by meta then something like this could be really cool, and in a sense it reminds of a book by the Strugatsky brothers (That wrote roadside picnic) in which a city of nefarious nature plucks people from across different periods of time and location to live inside of a city bordered on one side by a swamp, and on the other by a desert with an impossibly tall wall on one side (Which seems un-climbable, and yet people are found to have fallen - or been thrown - off of the top) and an impossibly deep void on the other.. Where the sun turns off at a set time in the evening, people go mad looking for a building that seems to move and disappear and odd phenomena occur such as swarms of monkeys that attack workers. People are randomly assigned jobs and ponder the nature of their nature of their new life and the purpose of this great experiment, and the answers raise only more questions. Fucking great read, that is.

I just worry that unless you've got tight lipped admins or if something slips it could ruin a week's worth of intrigue with a single rumor.

I'm interested in revisiting this given that Halloween (and the colder months as a whole) approaches. Or seeing elements of it taken into usage.

Time to revive this for another round of talking about it and then forgetting to do RR itself

Just warning you, I'm gonna play Max Payne and just monologue under my breath the whole event.
