Help Buying a New Pair of Headphones

That's a fair point, but I'd at least like decent sound quality. I'm not asking for anything super duper insane like perfect sennheiser level. I'm just asking for something that I can hear crisp sound with. The steelseries headsets, I couldn't hear anything with them. I also try and hear footsteps and stuff like that in video games as it helps a lot when playing games like Overwatch or FPS games. The steelseries didn't really provide any of that.
try the siberia ones i found they have a 3.5mm jack if u specifically want that
also idk what u mean about no footsteps
i literally played overwatch professional for about like 3 months until i was like 'this is a fucking waste of my life and im still dealing with school i can't keep up'
they did amazing

the siberia V2 (i think its my model i might have a 200) they're like half ur budget
im like a glock fanboy but for steel series they're non existant once u put them one and drown out enough noise so if ur flat mate yells 'fuck u' u can hear it but u don't hear the obnoxioous hum of like the AC or something
hella comfy and supportive i've got a weird ass head so that's rare not very sweaty with that weird ass spongey material yet rather smooth and comft

behold, the Sony MDRX10

best headphones I ever had, great sound and great comfort. Only problem i had is that the leather on the earmuffs started to tear, but i narrowed down the the reason as to why that happened was how i took them on and off. (Put the earmuffs against my ears and then twisted the band above my head instead of just putting the whole damn thing on right in one movement like an actual competent human being) oH YEAH, and there's no microphone, but you can just modmic one onto the bitch and you're all set

now i know im finna get flamed by some audiophile here for recommending someone a pair of 5 year old headphones but just hear me out here.

When I got these back in the day they were rather pricey but now they've fallen to a reasonable level. (Like 80 bucks) Comes with a 3.5mm jack and an adapter for if you want to plug yourheadphones directly into a fuckin amp or somethin (y'all know the kind of jack i'm talkin about)

I'm debating buying another pair of these to replace my current headphones, which is a pair of Turtlebeach
EAR FORCE S T E A L T H 450s. (Can't really recommend these btw, build quality is poor and the speakers are just "ok")

Only other brand i can recommend is Skullcandy, sound was good for the price and I had no issues up untill the right speaker blew out.

but take all this with a grain of salt, i'm the idiot that used apple earbuds for everything for like 6 months because the sound quality was "good enough"

honestly get a shite $10 desk microphone and a pair of headphones if this is for your PC

Look at Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser and AKG

any1 know any headsets that
- have atleast an OK mic
- are basically plug in & use (no big fancy drivers or calibration memery)
- don't mess up my hairdo (personal experiences here since i doubt anyone would sell a headset with "doesnt mess up your hair" as one of the selling points)
- are easily cleaned (i.e. actually removable fabric etc, as opposed to awkwardly having to fiddle with the thing & with Q-tips for hours every week)

idk what the price range for a headset that qualifies would be so i'm leaving the budget blank. i'll save up anyway!

I think there's a few siberia ones, can you provide a potential link to them in my PM's or here?

It's mainly for my PS4, as that's my main gaming platform right now.

I'll definitely take a look at these. Thank you.

any headset that doesn't fuck with ur hair is either one NOT A HEADSET or EARBUDS the only solution is really uncomfortable headsets that push all the weight to your ears and give u the strangest headache due to being unbalanced
besides i bet you have like really short boy hair

most headsets come with cheap removable muffs, steel series gave me 2 extra pair of thingies i've never had to buy any

also if you want anything that sounds good it's probably gunna make u download drivers or has a little tiny "motherboard" thing at some point in the wire that has the driver/sound card on it

what's your headset going to be used for

-gaming edge

-chilling to music

-drowning out the sobs of your alcoholic father in law

Upsides:
  • Cheap
  • Detachable mic.
  • Adjustable mic
  • Good mic quality
Decent Bass
Good long term. Had mine since 2015.
  • Downsides:
  • Sound leakage
  • Bulky
  • Gay ass logo.
  • Microphone breaks around +50 times of throwing it against the wall during CS.
  • It's not big brand.
  • Not exactly something you want to take out of the house.

I've been using these for over a year now. Personally I've enjoyed them, but they are USB sadly. Yes malina? malina? they can fuck with your hair around your ears after prolonged use, but if you ask me that's probably the only downside to them, there just solid all arounders. I did have to replace a bad wire at one point but they normally have replacement parts that you can either make a claim about if you have a warranty or just order them off there website cheap.
Edit: Also has a detachable mic.

if protecting your hair is of upmost priority

ive used these and they're very adjustable to your head, of course if you pull it to high it'll be uncomfy
but its like the only type of headset i have tried that could feesably not ruin hair

hqdefault.jpg
something bulky with that head strap thingy is pretty much my standard its comy but it'll probably sink into ur whatever type of hair you have, tbh im imaging u have a blonde jew fro at this point
ROCCAT-Kulo_Perspective_MicUp_USB-7.1-SoundCard_1024x1024.jpg
this is probably good for ur pretty boy hair <3!
although it's got drivers but pretty much ever decent headset does but hey its got a sound card as a part of it already so if u have a shitty one that never hurt

i do remember the microphone on the roccat being hella good but idc how good u want a mic

i can get higher ones if u want

step aside you peasant gaming headset users.

These bitches here i've recommended to two of my best dudes. I've worn them several times. They have an exceptional clamping force on then. They exhibit a warmer sound signature, but it's nothing like a shitty beats by drew will sound like. Closed back, good isolation. https://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT-770-i-Headphones/dp/B017TAZ3SM

Go even further and get a DAC. Here's the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10K-He...UTF8&qid=1510778725&sr=1-2&keywords=fiio+e10k This'll make those bitches sound even better, and blow out your ears at the same time.

These are the headphones I have: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-X2-2...pID=41UXJa54INL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

The ATH M-50X I previously owned, they are decent: https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR86

if you raise that budget a bit you can get something that will last you, and sound beautiful.

LG, G430. Decent sound quality, fits your budget as I bought mine at 70 dollars, USB adapter, I like mine.

a lot.

thanks for reading

nah, from other friend i talk to of the long-haired and opposite gender variety, this headset and others very similar are pretty much just plug n' play. no driver, or anything. easy to take off and on, and it's pretty durable.

also i use it but i cut my hair pretty short and dont give a fuck about how i look so... i dont deal with any issue. but i havent had other annoying things like getting my hair stuck in it like other headsets, so its pretty good with that.

also why is everyone here like 85% gay

no judge

looking at u mostly duaine

Yep the Logitech G430 headset is the way to go. Really durable and better than then $150 crap razer sells nowadays. I myself have the Logitech G430 headset right now.
