i remember playing halo since its debut on xbox in 2001 and how it got so wildly popular as time went on that it was cool to hate on it but i stood by it as a staunch proponent and always advocated its setting as rich and intensely strenuous story about desperation and I was mocked for dancing to microsofts commercialist tune and now in 2017 after weve been thoroughly abused by 'simulator' (dad) games like battlefield and arma everyone is looking back and saying "oh yeah halo was pretty lit huh"

how was battlefield a dad game? unless you mean the older ones its turned into sprint and shoot simulator in a war of artillery and attrition
 
I fully support this idea, cause I am a halo nerd, and I love halo. This feels like it'd be a perfect, suspenseful scenario-revolutionaries and UNSC fighting as the Metro Police attempts to not get involved and just get out of there alive. The Metro Police has room for many interesting characters-liars and cheats, paragons and heroes. The UNSC are a war-hardened force that is now turning it's weapons against it's own race after fighting a war to protect it-emotions will be riled, tensions will be brewed.
Just make me Army Airborne, please.
 
tbh itd take a while to prepare

i wouldnt want something on the go or anything like that

more like something well prepared n shit not made within the week which most random roleplays are prepared in.
 
I love Halo.

Literally all of my vorts have at least some sort of Halo inspiration.

That means yes I'd love to do this.

I once nearly tried making a Halo RP server with a few guys but we went for Fallout instead.

I felt like it kind of jumped the shark a bit after 3 (granted, 3 was the last Halo game I played, as I only ever owned an OG Xbox and so I had to play 3 at a friend's place) but yeah, it was great. Used to waste hours after school on HBO, reading through all the speculation and found references. Wonderfully fleshed out world with a lot behind it.
 
Personally I'd rather avoid doing something during the war, due to the over-saturation of that kinda setting.

But if others want it, sure. It'd still be a blast.

Reach was waaaay more grounded than 3.

it all went downhill afterwards
 
I enjoyed Halo 4 for what it was.

I wish the campaign was longer, but I did have genuine fun with the premise of the Forerunners (Well, Forerunner) coming back to hijack the Galaxy.

Reach is my all-time favorite though.

halo's original weapons designs are iconic and cannot be mistaken for anything else
