it all depends on the roleplayer. an individual may have experience in like, forum roleplay or something, used to being without items, so an item to their character is just that, something to their character. many people make it an IC goal to obtain a weapon on their rebellious character, however most of those people also make it an ooc goal, those are the people who are doing it wrong. not everyone has an ooc want or need for items as well as an IC one, this guy to me seems to want justification as to why his character lost what he had, an IC one.

And from the thread I understand that the guy was RPing with CPs, went afk without announcing JUST BEFORE or during the confrontation and his gun was taken away for that. It'd happen even if he was-

Don't go AFK during a raid. You made a conscious decision to hang out in the canals which is extremely dangeorus (were you escorted out of the city at gunpoint?) and you should accept that there will be consequences. The whole beauty of the canals is that you can be raided, captured and PK'd at any time and you should be extremely careful. Actions have consequences, you are lucky you weren't PK'd for having a fucking assault rifle.

well, for one thing, this might actually add some character to your character. you just got attacked by the CCA, and they showed you a lil' mercy and knocked you out, stealing your weapons. now you've got a reason to hide, a reason to act malicious towards them. they mistreated you. by actually experiencing hardships, like any good character in any good story does, you characters grows and matures, something half the people at TnB haven't pulled off yet.

all in all, take it on the chin lad. your character got raided, and their gun got stolen. end o' story.

e; if you still think it's amdin abuse 4NORAISIN, im sure VICE squad would be happy with raiding you again, and taking your swep, again

I could have kept the Air guy waiting, I could have just left, and then I'd likely not get unbanned for a Month. I could have just stood there without my physgun out, and it's likely VICE would have PK'd me.

So it's not like my char got raided, it's more powergame, because I had no control or hand in any on the events that happened

First off, I wasn't RP'ing with CP's. What went down was the Air conditioning guy came, and my Uncle called and said I needed to come now, so I was about to just leave my char there with his physgun out until I could get back. at this time everyone was pretty much OOC. people at Canals Spawn were just throwing props around, and jumping in the water and shit. Then Gunfire started, and I rushed to move my AFK char into a spot where he wouldn't interfere/ get shot while AFK.
