i have reinstalled, verified game cache, made sure i am only subbed to tnb addons, tried a different internet connection entirely, and tried a shit ton of console commands/changing my settings

yet whenever i go anywhere on server and have to render a new area of the game etc my game times out for a good 20-30 seconds and then i come back and my inventory is blank, then char-swapping to fix the inventory bug times me out again so it doesn't even help

help? i'd be able to suffer the lag were it not for the fact that i don't have an inventory 99% of the time i'm on server
 
also fuck whoever made that 400 prop charlie bay dupe it's probably your fault
 
look for a dragon lair maybe some put all of the custom items in there
 
for real though, have you gone into your gmod folders and purged out your downloads & addon folders? there could be something in there slowing you down, id also go into the map folder and delete the file of the current map y’all are on

I reinstalled the entire game
 
Deleted the entire gmod folder after I uninstalled too if that's what you mean

I dont know anymore I yhink I'm gonna give benji my admin badge and call it a day
 
It's just on trp. I don't think props both perma and normal aren't the problem, considering I have a crap PC and recently purged the permaprops.

We're gonna be on the new map tomorrow so if its a map issue then hopefully you'll be fine. Is the lag just on trp or are you chugging on other servers too?
 
im no expert on gmod or how everything works, but it looks like because you're exiting the map in observer, you're trying to render the entire map at once which is never a good idea

shouldnt this be happening for literally every other admin then

it happens while walking through 2 different parts of the metro and shit as simple as noclipping/walking over roads, mostly. tping to people freezes me too as well as char swapping

from the split second in the video where you go from inside the metro to outside the map there was also an error; it might (big might) be something with textures.
 
Source maps dont (or at least shouldnt) be rendering like that because its based off view distance + what your screen is showing. Flying out of the map shouldnt cause it all to render at once.

Likely it's either a PC issue or your internet is shitting itself when issuing commands like that cause you have a bad server connection
 
this happened to me on zrp when i was on dorm internet and at the same time my campus’ WiFi was under maintenance and when it was done i didn’t have the issue but i doubt that’s the problem since u tried changing internet stuff
