Those that are interested in helping with this, shoot me a DM in discord. This is not an announcement of any kind, and I cannot guarantee when this will kick off, nor can I say that it ever will. It might have to be put on hold indefinitely. Just trying to get a hold of writers to bounce ideas off of.

nothing will happen until a number of requirements are met. some of those requirements:
-the people that have to pay for server hosting, community leaders, devs, those with box access, et cetera must be on board for something like this to happen
-we need content on the server. see above
-we need to have a complete enough story and plan of events to be able to run with the concept
-we need reliable staff with a block of free time set aside to do their part, and for that we need dates and times. right now I don't have the free time even without considering my responsibilities with ZRP, and Sym has a life too.
-we need a more reliable means of gauging community interest than agree ratings on a thread that's been up since hl2rp concluded. a lot can and has changed since then.

right now we have none of that and we won't for some time. what I'm trying to accomplish is where if these circumstances change, and both the community and staff are interested, we'll have a pretty decent draft for a plan of action for the RR. leakers and drama queens need not apply.

temper your expectations and remember that people getting excited on the forums doesn't translate to people connecting to the server and partaking in rp

do what zrp did and make an rr to sample the setting possibly a solution in gauging interest

it's a pretty poor way of gauging interest when most players that stuck around for the RR and the ZRP events but then flake the fuck out out when they're faced with the prospect of any kind of roleplay they have to make for themselves.
before that's even on the discussion table, lets see how it works as an RR, and before we worry about that let's temper our expectations and consider that this might not be viable as an RR / compatible with where TnB is right now

a few people expressed interest in this recently as something to run in advance of the upcoming city rp, possibly even as a kind of prequel to this new HL2RP if the stories end up being compatible enough (don't count on this because I don't know enough about what is planned for HL2 yet)

is this something people would be interested in doing between phl2's conclusion and the upcoming hl2rp, or do you guys just prefer to leave the half-life universe alone for a while until city RP comes along?
 
i dont think anyone in TnB is ever gonna be like "yeah lets give hl2 a break while we wait for the new iteration"
 
i'd be interested in trying this out for introducing new characters for the upcoming iteration
