What happened to TRP and Stalker RP?

I've been trying to find both of these for months. I'm getting tired of typical HL2, "combine killed my family and now im a rebel" I look at videos and screenshots of both servers and they look great. Somebody please tell me what happened to these servers.

SRP died out for some reason or another and probably isn't coming back.

TRP died out for another reason(again, I cant remember why) but it is coming back. When, exactly, I don't know, but it's being actively worked on and will be released sooner or later.

HL2RP goes through different iterations as a habit and it's almost always around. Except for a few exceptions, because it's very flexible(well, it's flexible because we removed its spine so to speak, but hey), and we can come back to it again and again and people will inevitably like it.

trp died because it became stale and people lost interest, and stopped playing. an reboot was being planned to try and resolve a lot of the bigger issues and set it up in a way that would renew interest, but that was terminated for reasons that were never made clear to me. the currently planning T:RP is actually v3.0, and is slated for a Q4 2016 release

idk about trp, but srp inevitably got stale for two reasons from my pov:

1) its like motivation within the CCA - when you're new and lower rank, you have this drive & motivation to get promoted. but once you reach the top / cap, you lose your motivation over time because it went from a fun challenging progression to a job.

same thing with SRP; once your character was finally decked out, a lot of players felt more like maintaining their blings and status rather than letting a story go through.

2) politics - fuck, i was SRP admin and if theres one thing im happy about is that i no longer have to deal with SRP politics

people think UULG or admin politics is bad, it was noting compared to SRP. the OOC atmosphere was like game of thrones except everyone is joffrey & cersei

there was this insane drive from so many players to be the king of the mountain and maintain their status that they pulled every dirty trick in the book like manipulation and shit to get what they want

it wasn't JUST players; it was both admins and the players trying to subtlety advance their character & faction every way possible with legalism and politicking. i oughta know, i was one of em.

when theres so much drama and it became a chore dealing with all these bullshit, a lot of players couldn't take it and quit

if HL2RP is as cut and dry to you as that then you probably shouldn't be playing HL2RP.
