So just to let you know, I'm currently playing on a ASUS Republic of Gamers Laptop with an Intel I7-6700 with 16 GB of Ram and a Nvidia GTX 960m. Standard ping from where I am currently is 180-200 Ping.

It was pretty disappointing as I was not at all able to play on the server because once I'd left the trainstation, I was instantly stuck with a Server Connection lost, followed by ten minutes of never ending static lag of my character frozen in place and jolting as it attempted to regain connection, which only resulted in the same process to be repeated.

I tried Anony's FPS Boost suggestion and with a fresh reboot, I rejoined the server and was thus stuck in the same problem of walking out of the trainstation and then my game completely crumbling down as my character was left stuck in place with no chance on moving or anything.

I don't know if this endless connection loss/lag has anything to do with the amount of NPC's and Lamps on the server, or if it's my end. Would love to hear some suggestions anyone can provide for this dilemma. Thanks.

I think I have the same laptop. GL552VW? Same specs at least. It's about as laggy as any other RP server for me, definitely starts to chug when there's a bunch of zombos around though.

I will say that this morning I encountered the static freeze you mentioned when I left the train station but it cleared up after about 30 seconds for me.

Should I try to start the map up in single player? Will it help if I warm it up?

I've noticed the issue as well by the way, any time I join and leave the trainstation there's this really weird hiccup that doesn't occur anywhere else. So it's not you in specific that's having issues, it's something to do with leaving the train station.

Hiccups when leaving the trainstation probably have to do with how the map is laid out in terms of PVS. What happens is you're entering a new visibility area and the server has to catch you up about everything that's there, resulting in a lot of data being networked and a lot of entities being replicated on your end. Nothing we can do about that other than cutting down on the amount of entities, be it props or NPC's.

Ping issues shouldn't be caused by the server, if it was tanking you'd be seeing it chug instead of giving people a higher ping. (I think?)
