TRP Joining

Upon joining TRP I am required to redownload EVERYTHING, and its slower than usual, along with that, its shit I already have. I have redownloaded the game, validated files, restarted my computer, and its bugging Steam out in the process, it constantly validates Gmod's files.
And I wouldn't think it's a virus, as I have counter measures for such things.
It just started happening when my game froze, and I reconnected.

No, I have Gmod stored in a external hard drive, I still have over a TB of space left

A. Try running gmod as admin if you're not already doing that
B. If you're using nvidia drivers they just pushed out an update that could have potentially fucked with how gmod is running, go into it and revert settings
C. If you're not using nvidia see if your drivers have updates available
D. Run a full antivirus scan on your computer if you haven't done that yet

Have you installed any new addons recently? The best troubleshooting for this is to unsub from all and ONLY sub to the TnB content pack.
