Why are some threads like 200 posts long yet I can see only the last few posts?

An insane man, known as "Dave Brown" sought to destroy all threads. Alas, he created... "The archiving device". But it had one flaw- it only deleted old posts.

Actually it's just forum software that used to archive threads. It wasn't intentional, but when the automatic archiving stuff was disabled most of the threads first created back on vbulletin got OPs lost to the void.

Can't see archived stuff, basically whatever got archived is lost to time now
