when two of the better known irishmen of tnb tell you this is a bad idea, this is probably a bad idea. there's obviously a lot of controversy on an OOC level about this considering a majority of the people here have some form of opinion or had family members affected by this.

there are plenty of better real life events to base an rr off of and even then i think the ones concerning a fictional setting are much better and can cause less drama over all.

this thread has inspired me to develop a new rr setting: the kent state shooting

ideally, players could go with one of three factions. These factions would be the ohio national guard, bystanders, and stinky protestors. set during may 1970, players will have access to historically accurate weapons like surplus m1 garands. protestors have access to rocks and picket signs. bystanders will have bags of groceries or something.

i'm positive that tnb can handle this with the tact and sincerity it deserves. i suggest we use ww2 american weapons and vehicle conent packs since around this time the ohio national guard would be using world war 2 surplus.

if this goes well we can try another setting like the tinanenman square massacre
