Serious The Mist RR

I know this market is extremely over saturated with RR suggestions and dates of RR but worth a shot right?

Setting: A small corner store and or larger grocer in america.
Duration: Like a single day.
Resources: Aslong as fog intensity can be cranked super high then only a monster pack or maybe the half life 1 xen and x race models?


I know it's going to be very closed and stuck in one area but heading out into the mist like they did in the movie or dealing with the problems that could arise by having 20+ crammed into one area while aliens roam outside is something to keep people occupied. I have no idea how to go about this but though it was best to gauge how people feel about this idea? Thanks.

I was actually gonna write something up as bit more generic version of this, where it's more like a Stranger Things-esque RP with a bunch of 80's horror tropes that culminates in a mist-style event at the end

Well maybe some of the 80's monsters are in the mist? The Thing , Cujo , Gremlins maybe even freddy, plus all the mist monsters?

I was thinking like the first part of the event is a MONSTER OF SOME SORT that came out from the dimensional breach is hunting down teenagers because it's halloween weekend and it's 1984 and that's what happens

second act the group tries to trap and confront the monster, and just as they are about to kill it it does something to widen the portal and let a unch of monsters through

third act is the mist, all sorts of crazy monstrosities and shit come through and its complete chaos and people are just trying to survive

If you wanna take over this thread and do that then sure. Cause with how many RR things there are I'm sure we can cut down on one. Your shit seems a bit more thought out I just wanted to get this idea out incase it was some huge popular thing.

not really I just came up with it after seeing the new stranger things trailer



i like 80's thrillers/horror movies and I live in indiana so I wanted a way to mash classic slasher horror vibes with john carpenter sci fi vibes all in small town middle america

got me thinking of maybe a Friday the 13th RR? bunch of teens going out on a fun vacation down at a lake house when they become hunted. could be more than one antagonist though

RR is random roleplay. Instead of the normal half life 2 and stalker RP and MAYBE tekka it's people's quick ieas for somehing that can be fun for maybe a short series or quick 'even't of sorts that lets people RP something they thought might fit. and just look it up on putlockers?

well monsters won't need 'em the humans would be in a max of one-two places at once? Maybe a few stragglers out in the mist scared and hiding?

Small little babies come out, maybe ambushing those in the mist and sniffing around the store?

Medium monsters come out a bit later, hunting babies and making sure no one is left in the mist hiding, increasing attacks on the store and what not.

Larger fuckers/ tentacle bitch. Real threat to the market and the inhabitants being in the mist at this point is a death wish?

then the second half is just unspeakable lovecraftian horrors everywhere and the town's still shrouded in fog etc
