stuck on sending client info - phl2

i get stuck on sending client info (not frozen or crash) - redownloaded gmod and all the content, restarted pc, etc. any ideas?

been told maybe the server needs a restart

Verify games cache, maybe not have so many add-ons, and waiting it out are my past solutions to this.

Delete clientregistry.blob and restart steam and what not if you haven't done that already.

It seems like the server restarted earlier so you can just try rejoining atm too.
