I've had similar issues in the past. Just try again later, and then when you get it to work, disable it.

It's a useless security feature which is completely unnecessary.

Disagree with the 'useless' part. I've had my account stolen the moment I turned it off. After getting it back, set it back right away. Faggots are still trying to get in, but now they can't [noparse]:)[/noparse]

It may be that your account got hacked and email has been changed? Though STEAM sends you an email about "Changes to your account"...

I haven't used it and I have never had any issues. You need to use a better password and keep better control of it. There is no way for them to get in to your account without knowing it.

It's very useful. Combine Steam Guard with two-step authentication on your email account and only you can log in. Sure, if your password is good you'll probably be fine, but never hurts to be safe.

send in a ticket to steam and wait, there's literally nothing else you can do, make sure you have proof of a purchase you made on that account (read their instructions) and hope that you'll get it back in a day or two's time
