Steam Gifts halp

I was just recently gifted the CSS+Gmod bundle for my new account from a friend.

After he gifted it to me, I go up to the little mail icon, click on that then go to "1 new gift".

I see my gift, and proceed to click on "add game to my library". Click. It comes up with another popup that says the same fucking thing, so I click on "add game to my library".

Nothing happens. I click again and guess what, nothing happens!

In short, has anyone else had this problem, and/or have a fix to it? I've already tried restarting steam, restarting my PC, and even resending the gift to myself, because I can do that. Nothing worked, same thing.

Oh and I've already tried googling it, seems nobody else on the face of the planet has the same problem as me.

Why do you need a new account are you trying to bypass bans?

no, actually. The last account I used was my dads. I have since stopped using it because it wasn't mine, and bought a whole new set of games; not including these two.

Send in a steamsupport request. If nothing else I'm sure they can forcefully add it to your account and just remove it from your inv.
