STALKER games

All the STALKER games I have (CoP and SoC) take at least 10-20 minutes to load. This is ridiculous. I've tried everything, and Compatibility mode on SoC doesn't seem to work, same with CoP. I really need help, because I want to play the game to its fullest, but the loading screens are horrible. Why is it, that I can play Oblivion and Fallout on max settings, and the loading screens only take about 10-20 seconds. Like I said, I want to play STALKER, but with these load times it's just not enjoyable. I've also googled it, nothing came up. I'm out of Ideas.

Windows 7, PC, NVidia Geforce GTX (or gts i cant remmeber what it is) 250.

If I remember correctly, STALKER's A-Life, which is what simulates NPC behavior, is hella CPU intensive. One of the main things you could do to shorten loading times is get a better CPU, or get some more RAM.

Well, that is probably one reason. But there has to be another.

Yes, a mod which helped take the loading times down from an hour (not kidding) to about 20 minutes.

STALKER games scare me like Silent Hill. I don't like to play them. Otherwise, yeah, those are pretty CPU-heavy.
