Sound issue

So I've always had this sound issue but its never been too much of a bother. In some games i cannot hear people talking to me if i'm facing them directly or they're directly behind me, they would have to be right next to my character's ear in order for me to hear it. I just got LA Noire and its more severe than usual, I can't hear a word their saying just the echos of the words. People walking and lighting cigarettes is louder than the dialogue in fact everything in LA Noire is louder than dialogue.

Aw shit gentleman never mind i fixed it. If anyone else has this problem you should change your sound to stereo.
