shitty performance and missing content

I just bought a new video card and decided to wipe my SSD and start fresh. I've got 3.2 ghz 6 core AMD FX 6100, 7870 black edition, and 8 gbs of ram.

so ive got every source game required for SRP, including DOD:S, CS:S, L4D, L4d2, Ep1, Ep2, Etc. I've downloaded every megapack, including the SRP megapack, and ive got dark-dolina and several other maps.

Despite this, I still get errors and pink and black textures. I've joined every server and downloaded all the fast-dl shit (Except TRP, I'm permanently banned from there) and still, i get pink and black textures.

I also thought my new video card would help boost performance a bit, but TNB servers still seem to run pretty shitty. (About 20-30 FPS) every other server i encounter I get a solid 299-300, sometimes dipping into 200-250 if something intense is going on. Is TS2 really that shitty? No offense.

every other game ive played runs beautifully, at the max settings, but tnb servers just run like total ass.

I feel as though I'm missing something very important here, because even with my old computer it ran better than this, and I had some shitty single core intel I4 computer.

Can I have your gmod video settings? And it might just be me and my old 2007 comp, but the models could be lagging the shiz out of you, or a certain map is unoptimized. (The model part might just be me)

1920x1080 all highest settings except no AA, ive tried every other setting, resolution, etc... same exact performance.

It's because you bought AMD and they havn't updated the drivers for garrysmod.

Actually, i'm fucking with you, I have no idea why you'd get such low performance on your rig.

just kidding, ts2 is just horrible on the fps. turn off vsync, it helped me. i got a gtx 570 and i can run most games on maximum but i get roughly around only 60 fps on tnb.
