So like, SCP meets stranger things? Except instead of kids it's a town full of awkward social rejects who argue all the time

Don't expect this to happen anytime soon if at all, as we're taking a bit of a break from RRs right now.

With Zombies coming up and PHL2 just around the corner at the end of the year I think our narrative focuses will be placed elsewhere for the time being.

Not saying you can't hypothesize over what this RR could possibly be like if it ever did happen, just saying that it or any other RR events won't be happening for a good while and aren't being considered.

The idea of the town is a one that can go pretty far. Say that something like a facility breach occurred and some of the SCP's escape into the area, you can trickle them in one by one, or have them just pass through for awhile. Either have it end with, as previously mentioned, a complete end of the world situation or that Foundation teams come and 'clean up' the town with amnesiacs.

Just thinking of a situation where a bunch of people in a coffee shop are all just enjoying some coffee, when someone brings in a toaster they found. Then everyone gets so confused as to why anyone who mentions it is referring too it in the first person, all before they just throw it back out onto the streets and dismiss it as a stupid prank. Or why is this tub of play-doh I got for my kid from a good-will store suddenly laying claim too the kitchen sink.

So many small things like that can be done, don't even need all the super menacing SCP's around. You could likely still have them, but they'd need someone at their helm organizing them.
