Looks really great, now sure how it's going to handle in multiplayer though.
 
Every raindrop does a trace, as much as it's a ambient effect the way he runs it is really unstable.
 
Neat. Much better than the jizz rain we have right now. I doubt it will be implemented though, as TS is pretty bulky as it is, and these effects have to be pretty taxing.
 
Needs to be made more efficient, but... I love IC rain. This'll be awesome, if it happens.
 
No more falling jizz.
 
We could probably replace the existing one we have with the new effect that's used in his. It would be an improvement I suppose.
 
I've been trying to get better particle rain in TnB for 2 years now, I've seen rain look better in DirectX 8 games, the falling icicles shit is getting really old.
 
As far as I know, the current weather mod DOES have a normal-looking rain mode, however it's never used.
I might be mistaken though.

There is a normal rain mode yes... however its a particle animation meaning it covers a 9x9 grid, thus needs to be applied over all visible areas of the map, it overlays with each other and each particle effect field performance drop by itself is equivalent too roughly 4 lightbulbs in one spot meaning, HL2 TS1 = Shit.
