Radio streams

Hi yes, it's Chocolate.

So, I've just decided to make this because I got my lazy ass in gear today, and it's really not that big of a problem. Whenever someone sets up a stream radio, I hear either one of two things:

1. Static that's so loud it makes me want to gouge my eardrums out.

2. Complete silence, even though I can see the radio playing.

This also occurs when I set one up myself, even if I use soundcloud or a MP3.

So, I checked the workshop FAQ and found jackshit. TnB's got some smarties so I think this is my best bet for now. So, any solutions? Am I just a retard (even though that's already a fact but hey, you get the point)?

Well, first of all, of course, are you subscribed to the addon?

If so, I would say your first bet should be to delete the folder from your addons directory and then restart Gmod and let it reinstall. Test it out, see if it works.

While we're at it is there any command that lets me not hear radios? They're doing some work with the internet cables near my zone and so my ping goes to shit whenever a radio is spawned.

Everytime you hear a radio, you'd have to do stopsound in console. Of course, it'll turn off any other sounds not in the soundscape, as well.

That just sets the volume to zero, it doesn't stop it from streaming to you, so it has no effect on ping. The only solution is to end the awsonium or something process, but it doesn't always work for some reason.
