operating from a more-or-less clean install of garry's mod; i'm only subbed to the eternity content and trp content. any pointers?

Is all your content mounted, like HL2, all the episodes, etc?

yeah, funny thing is i can load the content in singleplayer just fine. it's just the server where it's fucky.

Having a similar issue with all torsos of characters being errors. I can see the hands / heads of people just fine. Everything is installed properly from the list of workshop items etc, same with mounting.

edit:

Also using a completely fresh install of gmod/ all hl2/css etc. Literally reinstalled all these games to play this not 30 minutes ago.

reinstalling did the trick, as is the case for most cases of gmod being off the goop

I'll continue troubleshooting as reinstalling gmod / hl2 + all episodes / css didn't fix mine.

It's probably your addons not having properly downloaded/mounted, try unsubscribing from the model packs, running menu_cleanupgmas in your console (Either from the menu or in singleplayer) and resubscribing.

When you resubscribe, launch gmod normally and let it finish downloading before you join the server.
