In 2110, the Union Aerospace Corporation (shortened to UAC) opened it's first base on Mars, with it's goal being to find ways of cheap, reliable, fast long distance-travel. With the discovery of another dimension parallel to ours, named Highway, Experimental, number 11 (or HE-11, commonly known as Hell by the workers of the UAC) in 2140, humanity was closer than they had ever been to instantaneous travel over long distances. The cost, however, was the inhabitants of the new dimension, who were violent, and possessed anomalously high amounts of strength, speed, and endurance. Now, in 2145, the UAC's multiple mars bases are now staffed by a mixture of UAC staff members, independent contractors, and EarthGov (name is flexible) marines keeping the station secure. With the experiments into HE-11, however, who's to say the bases, and humanity, will stay safe forever?
