Persistent and inexplicable connection issues

Ever since I changed computers, I've been having horrible connection issues. I'll get about 40-80 seconds of gameplay followed by a 20-30 second gap where the connection hangs (red text in upper right corner, "auto-disconnect in x seconds"). I seem to only get this on TnB servers. I tried it on several Dark Rp servers and it ran normally.

It's really fucking irritating, it renders the game unplayable, and it disrupts RP for other people as well as myself. If there's anything I can try, please let me know. I don't want to switch computers just because one server on one game doesn't work, I'd rather fix the issue. My have been updated,I can't pin the source of this fucking thing.

If it helps at all, my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5170, running Windows 7 64-Bit. If I can't get this issue fixed, there's really no point for me staying in TnB.

Might work. I've had the same problem after getting the Hard Drive replaced, so it's definitely something specific with this computer. It's a shame, it runs gmod perfectly otherwise.

okay but seriously now, if you're not gonna help then don't post, this isn't fast threads, and I'd like to get this fixed soon.

Try to connect to the server without any model / material, and downloading only the .dua. See if it gives the same error. It isn't to fix it, of course, but to see if it is a content-related error.
