Hi Guys,

PC is finally giving up on me and has started to crash/bluescreen on me.
At first I though it was the Power Supply as the error logs showed this but after changing it, the issue still occurs.

Turn on the PC and all is fine for a while but when trying to run something like Virus Scan or a game it crashes/bluescreen.

Any ideas as to what is might be?

Thanks.

did you update your windows recently? apperantly they fucked it up, and it caused a bunch of people to suffer constant bsods.

if you have updated recently, try and see if you can perform a system restore to your most recent windows update

It's difficult to diagnose based on the information given; if you could screenshot the crash error (if there is one) or take a picture with a phone of the BSOD and post it here the issue might be more clear. If a picture is too much hassle, at the least when the computer BSODs copy down the section underneath "technical information" where it says "Stop" and then several characters, and post that.

If you're savvy in handling PC components, my first suggestion without seeing any of the errors is the following:

1. Turn your PC off
2. Unplug it
3. Hold the power button down for 10-20 seconds
4. Open your computer case
5. Locate your RAM sticks
6. Release all applicable RAM
7. Re-seat the RAM, close the computer up, turn it on and attempt to play a game or virus scan and see what happens.

If possible, monitor what the temperature of your components are.

My fan once broke, and I hadn't noticed. Needless to say, it overheated, caused my PC to choke and bluescreen quite often, and eventually fried a few bits of hardware.

Not exactly a perfect solution, but you might as well check.
