My GMOD randomly crashes my computer

At random fucking intervals, my GMOD freezes up, and goes to a black screen.

My screen then goes into power saving mode, and turns off, and I hear a weird audio glitch, and I'm forced to restart my computer.


I don't get this on any other game.


I don't know if this is the cause of it - but I've recently installed a 980TI

When in doubt, if all else fails, delete your addons folder and everything will redownload assuming you subscribed to everything. Other than that, joining the server will download the shit. Deleting the addons folder has always worked for me for pretty much every problem from bugged models to crashing.

Then again, with the new gpu, it's probably 95% the drivers, whether they're outdated/not installed, or you just gotta mess with your graphics settings.

dont forget gmod is an old ass game

sounds like drivers or a faulty card

gmod doesnt care which card u use to run it so that aint it

ive updated a driver in my card, and i'll start deleting shit that's conflicting in my addons
