For the best atmospheric purposes you ought to rp the radio signal not going through very well down there. Weak signal, if any gets received at all.

And admins aren't always online to tp you. I defend keeping the map but I'm not so daft as to completely dismiss legitimate concerns, which is what you are doing.

My character is wounded and cannot leave the camp IC. That means any sort of actual roleplay is out of the question until I'm actually in the hub. And if there are no admins on, what then?

The only problems I can see is joining mid event and not knowing what the fucks going on then getting raped for not just joining. Stash range is also a problem then. Joining in the middle of an RP hub and just flossing chat with yellow "The meme stashes their strawberry shampoo"
