I'm not sure if this is where to post, but I really need a new monitor. Mine's a 720p TV and it sucks... I'm looking for something that has 144 refresh rate, and preferably ultrawide.

Also wondering if I should get a GTX 1070 or a GTX 1080. Or if there's anything equivalent that would be better for the money.

Anyone got suggestions? Looking to spend around $400-600 on each. (Like 1000 total)

Wait til the 11-series cards drop to get a graphics card, that's what I'm doing. 1170 will prob be better than 1080 for lower price

Rumor Has It that founders series cards will drop around July and then custom ones or whatever will be late July/August, but there's nothing official yet.

don't buy a card yet prices too high for the best ones

Ok so what about monitors, any suggestions?

yeah, sure. I can't remember how much I got this one for but I've had it for a good while and it's just my main monitor I use to play games on due to it being 144 hertz. That's if you're looking for that and your computer can run most games at 144 fps. It's just standard 1920 x 1080, I don't really care for having a huge ass screen to play games on. Here it is. Note it does have 3D functions or whatever that means but I don't use it and it doesn't affect or bother anything. You can also easily move it around if you want it vertical.

If you want a cheaper option from the first one, here. It's just the brand names that's different. May wanna research life span of it though and all.

Or if you can't run a lot of games at 144 hertz and just want the standard 1920 x 1080 experience, this is your monitor. I've had mine for three years and it's still in perfect condition. I just use it for my left monitor that I put most programs on while I play vidja games.

I use a low-budget HP monitor right now. 1920x1080, 21.5-inch, I believe only 60hz. If I had the money rn though, I'd definitely go for a BenQ (or maybe an Acer). As for BenQ, a friend of mine uses the 28" EL2870U, and while I prefer 24-27" monitors, I have to say the 4K on that thing is fucking beautiful.
