To keep this short, we're going to be changing some things about how we moderate the community and especially the forums
  1. As mentioned in the two other threads already, ban appeals will be public going forward. A new subforum will be set up for this later today
  2. The current moderation system of preset warnings, warning points and automated ban thresholds is going away, moderators will be given free reign in applying thread/forum bans and custom warning messages
  3. We're going to (mostly) stop deleting people's posts when warning them, instead the contents will be automatically spoilered when a warning is given
  4. Going forward we're going to be more proactive about showing bad faith actors the door. If someone is only here to derail, provoke, argue in bad faith or is just an overall net negative they can do that somewhere else
I'm sure there'll end up being other changes as a result of this as well, we're going to tighten the leash on political content/trying to provoke people and going forward we'll probably end up with a bigger separation between server admins and community moderators (the former not moderating the forums)

New forums are set up, existing threads have been moved into private bans. We'll probably use these two forums for everything going forward, rather than having a dedicated ban/unban section for every server.
