Modeling help, please.

So, I stumbled onto the Model Guide on the forums here, the one with three steps and the helpful links and all that. But once you get the model loaded, there's nothing. No help, no instructions. I know that wasn't it's purpose, but I couldn't find a second one that helped. So I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take some time and help me, give me the bare-bones or send me a link to a good tutorial that explains the tools and how to use them. I'm really interested in modeling and face hacking, and I wanna get into it so if anyone could help, I would REALLY appreciate it. My steam is in my signature, so just add me (I don't care if you're gonna help, go ahead and add me, I like people) and we can talk and hopefully I can catch on to this stuff.
