Any idea what's causing this? I tried resubbing to all my addons. I tried verifying the game cache. I tried nuking my entire garrysmod local folder and redownloading the entire game but I'm still having this issue and it's preventing me from subscribing to new workshop addons. Anyone have any idea

@developers?

to fix:
delete addons folder
find gmod factory reset
reset gmod
uninstall gmod
reinstall gmod

took me 8 hours of trying stuff, but eventually i fixed it.

I'll do this if I have to but I hope there's a simpler solution than just nuking the entirety of Garry's Mod from my computer.

you don’t need to do that, if you hover over the “missing downloaded files” it’ll sometimes show you the file location, if you go to it and delete the empty folders in it, it’ll fix itself. i had that issue and it fixed it for me

God bless you.

I tried that but it keeps giving me a loop with this specific folder. I delete it, update. Comes back again. Did this cycle three times over now.

have you deleted your addons from your folders & deleted that folder as well?

I'll try that now, but I have some pretty terrible wifi at my place so all my addons are downloaded at the pace of 300kb/s. Something I need to sort out with my landlord.

Unsubscribe from all your addons and redownload them one at a time. Make sure to deletr your workshop and addons folder too

You have to make sure you're deleting the workshop files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop too because that's what's causing the issue, not just Garrysmod.

the workshop folder isn't inside of Garrysmod. It's a separate folder that contains copies of all the addons you download for all of your games from the steam workshop.

I'll snag that too then. Thanks for letting me know dude. But then where do all my workshop items go then?
