What about a Roleplay based on Gothic?

Gothic is based on a Fantasy RPG, which includes an empire in war with the Orcs, different factions like
Water-magicians/Fire-magicians. Alchemists / Farmers / Knights / Paladins / Orc Mercenaries / Slaves / and many more

It is based on what timeline we play, as I suggest Gothic 3. King Robar who lost the war against the orcs and locked himself in a magic barrier know one knows to enter, they used magical crystals which gave most magicians of Fire and Water their powers but now they disappeared and many got enslaved, a few are left using the ancient magic power you have to learn in temples which are lost or controlled by orcs, so only a few can use magic.

Basically, we are all people who visit or live in a town/castle during the wrong time, the Orcs started an attack years ago and manage to defeat the guards they killed and hang onto crosses to warn the resistance.
Most of us are slaves and work all day being pushed around by the orcs.

But one day 5 heroes come // another story but they defeated a legendary monster together // not knowing what happened here, they arrive in the town and attack the orcs they manage to defeat them and free the slaves. The Resistance luckily heard about this and make their way to the town to protect it from orcs which may try to reclaim it.

the 5 heroes split up to find out what happened in this country, barely anyone knows about them as they leave us to our fate. The local resistance leader takes charge of his men in this town trying to defend it against the orcs. The world outside is dangerous as there are hogs, wolves and many different fantasy monsters /trolls/demons/goblins.

There is also a war between two gods "Innos and Beliar" they are brothers which fight each other
"Innos is the god of light, order and created the life on earth." Beliar is the god of darkness, war and destruction but also the god of the underworld" Beliar hated Innos as the light would hurt him, and the people would pray to him and at night they would sleep ignoring him. The Orcs would believe in Beliar as he would give them the strength to fight the Paladins of King Robar who be the loyalist of the God of Innos and the King himself.

You can read more about this on the website of Gothic 3 or look it up on youtube.

There was a community around for a brief period that did something like this, but from what I remember it fell pretty hard right out of the gate. Might work for an RR.

Can’t wait to swing my claymore like the crowbar swep

I'll be the one launching camels and horses from the other side of the gate during a siege.
