At first I could never get it to start, untill I figured out I had to press FN + F9.. ;v

Now, it used to always display a "cam disabled" thingy, now it doesnt show it anymore and I can't enable or disable.

Man, I've had soooooooooooo much problems with that when I was working with laptops.

You're being very unclear to what you have tried what 'error' message you get and post some pics to what you mean. I can't even begin to help you.

There is no error message, the cam is just not there. Not enabled nor disabled.

I never had to install them to begin with =/ It just worked.

What. And I wouldn't even know which ones to download? It doesn't say what kind I have, and If I try to type in my laptops branch it gets me nowhere.

I would look up your laptop online. At least try to figure out what kind of webcam you have, and once you do, search for common errors. Or, alternatively, locate the tech-support forums for your laptop's manufacturer. More likely than not, at least one person might have had similar problems, especially when you consider that they've also got the forums and search functions seperated by series and model.

Also look up your drivers, once you've found out what exactly you have. There will be almost guaranteed to be a site that has the exact drivers for your webcam.

If all else fails, reading the PDF manual that came with your laptop might be the way out, because it will most likely mention these things at least in some detail. Unless, of course, I was the only person that actually reads that shit.

Overall, I would just look your laptop online and get to know what's in your computer, because it would come in handy, especially in this situation. Wouldn't hurt to look at basic overviews of how to fix common problems with each of them. I've noticed that you're like one of the most hopelessly tech-illiterate people out there, so I figured that's a problem that needs fixing in itself, so you don't constantly have to deal with having to wait for days to get an answer from us. This also means you need to use your imagination when searching, and be as specific or as broad as you need to be. There won't be a perfect answer unless your computer has this problem with multiple models.

On another note, are you sure that there's no way to manually start up the webcam, such as launching whatever camera utility that's installed on your computer?

I've tried to manually start it up, it doesn't detect it. I'm not technically-illiterate, Theres tons of problems I don't post and figure out myself, heck my entire family phones me whenever they need help with their PC.

e: Went on the Medion website, and all the laptops look the fucking same, almost all of them are Akoya and I don't know the other specs anymore, I'll just get my box down tomorow.

Well.. Medion did not have my laptop on its site, what the shit.

Howdy Driftwood, I just d/l a torrent from eztv and had no problems. Could it be the trackers? I know some torrents on eztv offer more than one mirror I think thats what they refer to them as. Perhaps trying a second mirror to get the torrent from. Best of luck

lol medion
of course it doesnt work

anyways no idk how to help you
you should really consider getting a new laptop or a desktop

yes cuz i have money and thats why i had to settle with a laptop instead of a full priced pc

you do realise desktops are cheaper than laptops right

i really hope you do

given that the specs are equal of course

Don't get prebuilt desktops

i5
some mid range ATI or Nividia
1 tb sotrage

doesnt cost much, works on p much all games

i'm sparing money (without income) to get a top notch PC, and i'm putting it together myself, the laptop was bought for me by my parrents so i had SOMETHING temporarily and its a damn good lappy
