HL2:E1 / HL2:E2 Disappeared!

Deleted clientregistry.blob, logged in, logged out, verified all caches, sacrificed a few infidels; the only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling yet and that's up next. I currently have a steam support ticket in, but I was curious if anyone else ran into this peculiar issue. I can still mount the games to Garry's Mod, but the content no longer exists though it does say they're mounted.

I restarted steam as a test and still had them, so there goes the though of them being possibly added directly into hl2.

Nuke your steam from orbit, I don't know of any fixes beyond that.
