I would look at the turtle beach headsets. They are very good and in price range also decently.

The x12's have a nice base and are okay at canceling out noise-... not the best. The mic is also pretty standard as far as the price goes, but I personally got a Blue Yeti Studio mic from a friend who does pod casts and upgraded, so I don't really use it.

Ended up settling for a Razer Tiamat 2.1; only $99 and has everything I needed along with a year warranty.
