Whenever there's supposed to be fire in GMOD, I don't see it, and get spammed with this console error instead (Not only on TnB, on any gmod server)

Help a Tn/B/ro out?

Yes I have, also restarted PC

Got all the half lifes mounted?

are you running in dx8?

check the launch options on steam to find out

yes, remove that and see if you are now able to see the flame particles.

I'm not getting the error anymore, but I'm still not seeing the flames..

Does it switch back to DX9 automatically?

I've been having the problem too, and getting it fixed would be nice.

so sorry, forgot about this thread.

try removing all launch options for garrysmod and set windowed mode through the settings in game.

edit: if none of that works, try putting -dxlevel 90 in the launch options.

the not being able to see fire is 100% down to running the game in dx8 mode.

Still no work

E: though -dxlevel 90 gives a fucking awesome graphic effect holyshit

Simple problem to fix, it's not -dxlevel 90

It's -dxlevel 91

Done this to me in the past oddly (I find if I press OK in options rather than apply... It decides it wants to go back to dx8... Stupidly).

Dxlvl 90 works now, after adding -windowed (Thefuuuck?) lol, anyway ty
