GF615M-P31 BIOS can't read built in VGA card

I purchased a barebones kit from this site. It powers on just fine, but I think the BIOS can't read the onboard NVidia 7025 because I can't see anything but a black screen.. I can't install drivers, boot from anything, or change the BIOS because I can't get a signal to my monitor. I don't think its my monitor, VGA cable, or graphics card. Any ideas?

Did you try a different monitor, VGA cable, or graphics card? How do you know it's not any of those things?

If trying none of those things work, it could either be the processor or motherboard, or onboard chipset. Try an expansion PCI express graphics card (you'll have to get one if you plan on serious gaming anyways), and try that out. If it still doesn't work, it would probably be the motherboard/processor... You could return them and get them replaced, and if it still doesn't work, I guess you're just fucked.

I guess you'd be surprised how many people will simply assume those things without testing. I don't know you personally so I had to make sure.

If you've troubleshot the problem down to the on-board video, consult the motherboard manual. Make sure you have the power supply properly connected to the right spots. Also, there are various switches on the motherboard that change voltage setting, etc. Again, it should be in the manual. My guess is either A. Something is faulty, or B. You have something plugged in wrong.

Both are equally possible, so good luck.

The manual is a bad translation from what looks like an asian language, and there are no steps to help me at all. The entire manual's setup for the mobo is 'plug in your wires like this, and then if you have any issues good luck until monday so we can respond to your ticket at 12:00 A.M. your time'. Never buying from MSI again.
