Get me the hell out of here.

suspensions are a dumb form of punishment. if its in school suspension then its saying the kid isnt dangerous or anything and can be safely around other kids, so they're being made to skip class which means missing learning and just missing a few days can put you far behind the others in a way that extra homework wont make up for

out of school suspensions are saying this kid is bad enough that he cant even be in school and if thats the case then the problem is big enough that just giving them a day off isnt gonna fix it. get some therapy or a youth minister or something involved

when u shove several thousand kids into a building and bore them to death its natural that there are gonna be fights. its stupid to react the way that schools currently do, especially since most 'fights' that happened at my school were people shoving each other. unless its racially motivated or something or there is weapons involved then yeah maybe then you should react severely. fighting is cathartic and several of my close HS friends were obtained through violence

random anecdote; senior year one of the english teachers, a lady in her 70s or 80s or something, bashed a kid in the back of the head with a clipboard as hard as she could cuz he fucked with her computer(they accused him of 'hacking' but he just unplugged it and put a lock over the cord). guess which one got dragged out of the class by the school cop?

My school was like Space's but less funding and it was a Christian school.
It was hell

my elementary school had no empty rooms to use for ISS so you either got off scot free or got OSS, ISS at my first high school was like a vacation, they didn't even take your phone or stop you from using it in there, second high school was a little stricter

if they tried to put me in some fucking shame cube with cameras and shit i guarantee they'd be moving me to a real jail real quick, fuck that, i don't understand how that's even legal. it's psychological abuse in a literal sense.

im guessing the sort of kids who go to schools like that arent able to hire a lawyer

true. my school stopped handing out oss long ago. they only did iss and transfers. with city schools, they're so densely packed that some of your major offenders in schools, like constant drug sellers or threats to others, just get bounced from school to school, never expelled. it's a RARITY to ever hear about someone getting expelled from the district or city group. it's a constant bounce between schools. i knew of some kids who could bounce between the entire district of schools, which was like 10-16 if i remember right within a years time. the city knows expelling them is something that can't happen so they just get bounced. they pretty much just turn into a file going through different offices until time to be moved on. kids hardly ever fail ever. if they didn't do shit all year, they could pass with a 60.1 just to get them through the grades. the faster they get out and don't have to be a responsibility of someone, the better.

i'm being dead serious. they'd take our bags/phone/any extra metal we had on. you'd get your cubicle for the day, go in. it was basically like a large glass/transparent door with holes drilled throughout for air. there was security in one corner who just sat on a stool all day. every cubicle had a camera facing your back and one inside facing down on you. i just didnt know if all schools did it like that or not. if not, i was just curious as to what other schools did.
lmfao why am i american jesus christ

recently i popped a dudes nuts with my cast for talkin smack, the campus security nearby just kinda watched & laughed

We just used to sit down at desks, copy dictionary definitions and do work. It wasn't productive for anyone. The school system is a heapashit.

When my brother was in elementary, he got suspended for a month just for saying 'lesbian' and they did at home instruction and everything. The first time I ever heard of ISS was in the seventh grade. This year a teacher threatened to put me in ISS for the rest of the semester when it still had 3-5 weeks to go.
That clear bubble and confiscation shit also reminds me of this book called After. There's a school shooting in the school a few miles from them and they start taking all these radical security measures. Instead of suspension, they just send them to some sort of death camp or send them to prison.

dont listen to these idiots kid, theyre all fuck ups and dont know shit

guns can be traced. bring a knife and wear a glove instead

the only time i got punished in school was during a mock fight for a seat on the bench we have upstairs (basically my classroom was on the third floor, no elevators. not a problem but it's still nice to sit down anyways, problem's that space was limited) with a friend

the teacher didn't want to accept that it was just a mock fight and said that such behavior is inappropiate for 13 - 14 year olds so we had to stay for 45 minutes after class and we both just glared at her because we werent allowed to talk

Speaking of organized fights, my brother was part of some "Underground organized boxing ring" that they had in the locker room after school. He fights too sloppily.

not an organized fight what the fuck i'm just talking about some shoves, jabs and pulls
who has organized fights in school
this isn't fight club, dude
