Whenever I join new canal, it always says "Please Wait" Constantly, and I don't know why, I've tried everything, rejoining. Any help?

I need help with the new coast map, i cant get in the server, it says that the server map differs from yours.

When I am joining a TnB CombineControl map, I am presented with a Please Wait Screen of Death.. Any Help?

I'm a long-time-gone member of this awesome community trying to return to it on my new iMac. Apparently all the downloads I need to play HL2RP are downloaded via Gmod itself now, so that's cool. You used to have to navigate all sorts of websites of questionable repute to get the server downloads. However, and I've tried this several times, every time I open Gmod, select the HL2RP server and the server downloads start, it gets stuck on "models/props/smallcubetrt.vvd" and then Gmod crashes. Anybody have any idea why this is happening? I'm not Lua or programming savvy at all, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My specs:
OS X Yosemite V10.10.1
27" iMac
3.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M w/ 4.096 GB VRAM

I watched it more closely this time, it actually got past the previously mentioned download and crashed on "materials/gui/ad2logo.tga". Thanks for your time if you're reading this.

I messed up on my name on here. is there a way to fix it? I thought I put it in correctly, until I get the message in my inbox and showed that it was spelled incorrectly. I also got a ban message on a server that has your name saying that I didn't answer the question right, but I couldn't see any questions. all I see where empty select boxes and no words asking me questions or showing answers. I thought I click the right button, but I must of didn't. is there something I need to I can see the question so that I can answer it without being ban for answering the question that I can't see? I also taken a screen shot of what I see when the "quiz" came up. I don't know how to put it in this post.

Do you have to use the caves to get to the coast? Since the caves server is down, that means alotta people can't get to other places.

The caves has been disabled for a lengthy amount of time. Yes, there are ways to get to the coast. You can find them out through IC means. There's simply a section on the map where if you step on it, that'll transition you to the next server.

Thanks anyways I found it out by doing somethin' IC and found my way to the coast without the caves.
