[General Functionality Inquiry] Loans & Lending System

Hello team,

I believe this has already been discussed, however I cannot find any reference. (Please move/delete this post if it is redundant.)

So... what's up with the lending system?

• Description of the issue:
The "Take/Repay Loan" buttons on the "Loans" page of the F3 menu modify the loan balance on the VGUI menu, but no credits are received or deducted from the LocalPlayer.

• Ongoing/Intermittent:
Ongoing

• Issue Start Date:
Last successful loan I was able to receive credits for was roughly August 28th.

• Additional Details:
The issue occurs with all characters, new and old.


Was this feature disabled at some point and I just missed it?

It's made so that you can only physically use the loan credit on business licenses.

In a world where some rifles are only 500 credits, and pistols are around 200, a free 500 credit loan is a dangerous, dangerous thing.

the money is only usable in the business tab and doesnt change the value of money which you can give a player.

Yeah, it's important to remember that until that change loan abuse was one of the most common reasons for people to get banned

Thank you guys, that makes perfect sense now.

Sorry for the waste of a thread, I feel stupid for having to ask.

Would it be useless to add a clause of the above to the Loans page (along with the other ones currently listed.)?
I'm at work at the moment so it's likely that it's already there and I just never noticed it.
