garrysmod/garrysmod_old?

Yeah so if you don't know what the title means it's where you extract your content/materials/models to ect. Everything in my gmod is uninstalled (all the addons ect) and the file name has been changed to garrysmod_old, and it still has all the old content and downloads in, how can I download content now that garrysmod/garrysmod doesn't exist?

Yeah, it happened to me as well. Your new directory is steam/steamapps/common/garrysmod/garrysmod.

Alright, I've had a problem with this too. What you gotta do is transfer Garrysmod_old to common/GarrysMod/garrysmod (Rename it before you transfer), when you're done with that, verify the game cache and done.

Can someone update me as to why this has been done

And if anyone knows will fastDL automatically download to that directory now?

yeh it will and its because of steampipe

its not like we have any input in what garry does lol but in this case it was a good move in the long run
