Right so this has been fucking happening for several fucking days now and I am now fucking classified in-fucking-active on all my fucking characters, not to mention servers I frequent on.

Honestly, I've thought it'd go away. I've reinstalled this piece of shit and it still doesn't work. The only response I get when I double click on that shit is "This game is currently unavailable" or "Steam service is too busy to handle your request, try later you FUCKTARD" or it just gets stuck on that loading screen.

This is worse than Battlefield fucking 3.

Does it work to start garrysmod in offline mode? Try start another game such as CS:S first, stay in it for a few minutes, then try garrysmod again. Nothing works? Might need to try and re-install steam.

Nope and nope. Both suggestions didn't work out.

21:45 - 6th_Foot_Pvt_FAG_BALLS: try deleting ClientRegistry.blob in the main steam directory
21:45 - 6th_Foot_Pvt_FAG_BALLS: then restart steam
21:45 - 6th_Foot_Pvt_FAG_BALLS: it helped me when my gmod was being gay

I'll try that tomorrow.

Yeah that's a good idea to try before stepping over to re-installing steam as whole. Removing/renaming ClientRegistry.blob might not work though and incase you decide to re-install, make sure to delete your whole steam folder during the process.

Deleting blob didn't work. I'll wait till I get back home from school to reinstall. Anyway, thanks everyone for your help.

Yell violently and punch your computer screen.

As for your problem, iv'e had problems myself, best to wait it out for a day or so and see if it fixes itself.

He said it's been doing it for days now.
Honestly, my guess is that is has to do with the Steam server you're connecting to. You're all the way over there so you may be connecting to a different content/verification server.

Have you tried sending a support ticket to steam. They CAN help since it's a Steam error, not a game error.

Please contact Steam Support directly if you encounter any difficulty with:

Any game developed by Valve - including Blue Shift and Opposing Force. (Valve will appear in the Developer column for the game on the Library tab)
Connecting to Steam or otherwise using a Steam account
The process of purchasing a game through Steam, such as payment issues
Registering a retail CD Key for a game on Steam
Any errors which prevent the game from starting and appear in a Steam dialog box
Any "Authentication" or "CD Key" related errors which appear after loading the game (These issues may be caused by a third party program or server and Steam Support may refer you to the correct support team)

I thought it'd be useless as the Steam Support service is atrocious but I'll give it a shot

Validate game cache/content (or what ever it says. by right clicking on the game, properties... etc)

Remove Dua folder (by searching DUA in gmod folderRemove folder not files. Usually this is for crashes when you are already ingame)

Remove the actual gmod file, uninstalling a game through steam is a lie (What I mean is go to the gmod folder, high light all the folders, press delete, go to steam, start gmod)

It shall work.

1. Already tried, got stuck on 100%. I literally left it on for eight hours while I was at school.
2. Couldn't find any folder like that.
3. I wanna wait a maximum of two days before I uninstall/reinstall/install anything because I sent a ticket to steam support.

try right clicking it, and yes what lolipop said, -dxlevel 81 or you could just try playing in window mode
