Garry's Mod takes forever to connect to a server, crashes sporadically.

Has anyone experienced this lately? How did you fix it, if so?

It's primarily because of all the tons of things we have on the server box, models and so on. Only real fix is to do one (or all) of the following.

• Launch the map in Single Player prior to connecting.
• Join another Garrysmod server
• Restart Steam+GMod following a crash
• Cry about it on the forums
• Blame Dave and god

The best you can do is come to terms with your computer being not top-of the line and the server being jam packed with a colossal amount of bullshit.

Go watch TV when you connect, keep an eye on it though.
