It's as it says in the title, late last night when I was lurking the interwebs a giant fucking obvious spyware popped up and installed itself on my computer, I immediatly follow the desktop shortcut to it's core and deleted that motherfucker, but all too late since it had knocked down my computer's defenses.

After the main threat was gone, I re-installed MSE and Malwarebytes Antimalware and did some scans and deleted some more threats, but at this time my Firewall did not want to start, It was giving me some error when I pressed ''Update your firewall settings'' and later on after some more lurking on the problem I managed to -fix- it, only to be faced with another problem... Now when I press '' Update your Firewall settings'' It just doesn't respond for about 10 seconds and then continues to do nothing at all, leaving the firewall down, still.

Running Windows 7
Any ideas on how to fix the Firewall? I cant do ANYTHING with it at the moment, and i've already asked on some other forums.

I had the same issue last night, oddly. I removed it, whether or not it is the same thing. After that I scanned twice and made sure it was gone, I couldn't turn it on in control panel. So I did some goggling and did it through command prompt. I have XP, but I did a quick search and this may work for 7.

If not, then I would try a tech forum or something.
