Everything too dark?

Hi guys! If you have read the title ( I'm sure you have) you're probably wondering what I'm going on about. Well this problem only occurs on my mac and I practically can't see anything only a tiny area around lights making the game unplayable. I know it's an error to do with HL2 RP hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about.
For Now I'll have to play on my Windows XD.

Perhaps the _sadcolours are messing something for your mac. Try turning them off, if I recall correctly, the command is rp_sadcolors 0 or something similiar.

Another solution may be is that your Post Processing / Color mod is enabled and set to a dark tint area

And maybe your brightness settings broke , never hurts to check.

rp_cl_sadcolors 0 is the exact command.
If turning that off doesn't work, try messing with your post-processing settings in the Q menu like Vismar said.
