What is up with that? Why do people get the Akido guns? How do you craft them? Is it safe?

dual weapons aren't practical and you should avoid them

shitposting is self-explanatory, it's posting garbage - usually to get a reaction out of people

guns are safe to handle so long as you understand how they work

akimbo guns are not as safe depending on the design and model of the weapons and the grade or size of the cartridge you use in the gun, cartridge being the yellowish object that is loaded into the gun

guns with larger cartridges usually have more recoil or kick, which is the energy put on you when shooting. guns like rifles are easier to handle than pistols, because pistols don't have stocks or butts that can move kick from your wrists into your shoulders instead

for example, a small cartridge like a .22 won't have much kick at all, which makes using two seperate guns in both hands easier than using two guns of a larger cartridge like a .45

guns are simple to use but are much more complex than you might think, but i think it's very interesting to read or watch videos of guns in action or guns being taken apart

There is no magic in the HL2 setting, so no.

I can't answer that question, sadly. You'll run into toxic people at this community, but you'll also run into not so toxic people. You've just got to gravitate towards those friendlier people who will help you along when you're new.

if you're unsure what fits into the setting you might want to just go play half life 2. it'll give you a decent idea of what flies here and what will get you banned.

racism is entirely ic, but please dont go overboard to the point where it can be easily interpreted as mingery/griefing.

using two guns at once is entirely up to you but highly unpractical depending on what you're trying to shoot, in s2rp scenarios you'll probably get called an idiot or worse for doing it.

Imagine yourself as a regular human being in the half life universe. This character can take any manner of appearance, allegiance, demeanor and whatever else you can think of for character traits.

BUT

Keep it realistic, imagine an alternate reality where everything went wrong circa 2010. It's now 2023 during the combine occupation and you're just trying to get by. The only oddity being Xenian creatures, Vortigaunts included.
