No, it's not "just your computer." I have this problem too, on several different machines which have
well more than enough to run Garry's Mod.

Anyway, I have the same problem. Not our computers. What the SEAs need to do is have an activity thread for donator models. Whoever is inactive will have their model temporarily removed until they rejoin. Or screw custom models and just use custom textures.
This. Fucking
this. Seriously, how many custom playermodels do we have now? I haven't counted but it's gotta be
WELL over a hundred, considering every model has three variations for group01 through group03. And out of those, maybe ten or fifteen actually get used and the rest could just as well be simple reskins. Hell, there are probably custom models designed exclusively for people who left the community years ago, which will remain on the server forever and continue to cause these crashing problems because there's apparently been absolutely no thought whatsoever put into it.
Until someone actually acknowledges that this is a problem, and that there's no contingency plan for dozens of unused custom models making people crash, it's only going to get worse. And then someday people will have to download 5 gigs of shit they'll never use, most of which they'll never see, just to
try TnB once. And guess what, they'll say "fuck this" and turn around.
Edit: I'm going through the donator models thread with a calculator right now, I've already counted 107 playermodels, and I'm nowhere near the bottom. And that's the lower estimate -- I'm
only counting the ones that are clearly HL2, ignoring anything with TC or skinjob markings. Some of these may be loaded on HL2, I don't know. Most of these donator names I've never even
heard of.
And the final tally is... 410, counting the first page and the four Zara Kane models.
"It's just your computer" my ass.
