This has been happening on a rather frequent basis ever since the coast map updates. After the messages start, it's major lag, unable to move, bouncing like up and down due to the lag followed by a disconnect that provides a weird symbol disconnect message.

I've honestly had no issues with the new Coast.

Add me to the list. Happens occasionally for me.

So to start off whenever I bring this up with people they tell me it's not the server and not the script, yet this ONLY happens to me on coast.

I'll start putting all the weird ass errors and kick messages I get from coast in this post but to start let me show you a few pictures.

This was taken while just walking around during the event a couple days ago, where COTA raided into the sanctuary and s2k'ed everyone. Nothing else was happening, I was talking to people, and this instantly happened for about an entire minute then returned back to normal. I have had no clue as to what caused this so I opened console...

At which point I was greeted with this lovely long line of errors, obviously relating to somebody being KO'ed or possibly something hanging up in the script for me personally with being KO'ed. I looked at it briefly and was like "Oh, ok." and tried to go back by closing the console. I was unable to and shortly there after the entire thing crashed.

Fast forward to later that night when we were back on Coast sweeping the area and wrapping up the RP of returning to the NLO area. I had taken this exact picture on Caves, since I thought it was amusing. The original picture was time stamped in my screenshot folder at 9:26 PM while the second picture, taken on Coast, was time stamped at 10:05. Once again the strange error appeared for only a minute or two then was gone without a trace, this time nothing in the console was showing up to even give a hint as to why a previous screenshot was plastered onto my monitor while I'm on Coast.

On top of all this, several other people I've RPed with/witnessed having the same problems/people on SF have the exact same issues to a certain degree. It's obviously not the box or the server because this does not happen on City, Canals, or Caves so the only logical conclusion is that something has been completely fucked on Coast by the mapper. I've contacted Thor several times and he's checked the box while the series of errors on my end lead up to an inevitable crash and he says there is nothing there.

I've also had some extremely strange experiences with me being kicked to the menu without any error message, GMod crashing with strange errors ("Too many proxies for datatable DT_BacePlayer" for example), and general instability on the server with serious rubber banding while everyone else is fine. My net is fine, I usually have very low ping, yet it feels like I'm playing on a toaster.

Update #1: So Nirri and I have gotten onto Coast to start recording all the errors/problems we have. First bug of the day, everything went invisible (props, effects, players) and you usually do record a ; stop to fix such problems, which it did to a degree. NOPE! It goes into this strange rubber band lag mode with unknown net messages. After a few of those errors the GMod client stopped responding and had to be killed.

I'm pretty sure the invisible props/people issue has to do with rendering people/props/entities, though I'm not 100% sure about that. We used to have the same issue on SRP back in the day.

I'm gettiing the same crash issues. Can't do 'record a; stop' or it'll throw the unkown net channel message at me and then it kicks me out. It still kicks me on it's own without said command too, and now the invisible props joined in aswell. It's getting worse and worse with every day.

Can we just go back to the old coast map with the broken textures? Those are a lot easier to deal with than constantly disconnecting.

Issue seems guaranteed whenever you do " record a; stop " in console.

Something similar happens with me.
I try to join the city, and as soon as I connect, I am disconnected with this message:
Disconnect: .
The symbols won't show up.

Oh, and here is a little something from the console after disconnect:

.....aaaannnd hl2.exe stopped working. Fuck.

This happens to me, as well, on the coast and happens to me on the city when there hasn't been a restart in a while, I think. It's happening to me now and I can't connect for important CCA stuff.

EDIT: Having a frequent restart rule (Say, every six hours or more) would clear up a lot of server issues for people. It's never a bad idea to restart the server frequently.

Possibly unrelated, but whenever I connect to the coast, reflections are completely fucked. Not to mention the abysmal frame drop.

And now "CRAB BATTLE" is plastered on my screen after I did 'record a;stop' and resynced and everything
I don't want to battle crabs.

yeah, no offense to whoever made this map, but it's incredibly sketchy. could we just rock with rp_coast_07 or 09 or something until we've got a good optimized coast map that everyone can actually play on

So this just happened

is anyone doin shit about this

Not a single word about any dev so far on this damn issue.. Except a vocal response by Rowtree on TS who say's the issue is completely related to something that Gang or Dave did.

basically this is a massive fuckup due to mixups between me gangleider and rowtree

the last update was done by gang ( i think ) and it was a complete mess, i gave him a fixed (as good as it can be) version but he didnt upload it last night

Ok guys do me a favour and see how the version i uploaded today works
