Clean DVD with Toothpaste?

Has anyone ever cleaned a dvd or a game disc with toothpaste before? I might resort to trying it with my MW3 (inb4 posts of "MW3 SUCKS ITS BETTER OFF BROKEN LOL") but ya.

Just wondering if i should know anything before doing it.

And if there is alternative routes to cleaning a disc that has minor scratches on it please let me knoooooow!

Try to clean it normally, with clean water maybe a tiny bit of soap and a soft cloth first. If you do decide to use toothpaste, keep in mind gel toothpastes do not work.
